The one who's reading this piece of junk, congratulations! You're just as pathetic as me!
Sitting infront of the screen, doing nothing but surfing the net all day long..
So how's your weekend? Anything interesting?
Yes? No?
Please, DO share. I would love to hear your story.
Yesterday I went to Senayan Plaza with my parents. We had a nice dinner together at MARCHE. It was a really unique dining experience. I'm not sure if the word FANCY is the right word to describe this restaurant, since I don't want you to end up thinking it's a five-star-classic-high-maintenance restaurant with all the waiters dressed in tuxedos and such. (p.s the waiters were dressed in goofy looking Peter Pan-ish and Holland-ish customes. kekeke) The interior of this particular Swiss restaurant portrays the dynamic atmosphere of a traditional European market. They had barrels everywhere, cute lampshades, cows bells, old looking clocks, and a lot of other funny itsy bitsy details, SUPER CUTE!
When we entered, a waiter gave each of us a card which will be stamped everytime we ordered something. The place was huge. There were a lot of stalls, which sell different kinds of food from soups, crepes, pizzas, pastas, breads, steaks, salads, drinks, and even ice creams and pastries! So, we had to walk around to see the menu and of course to look at the amazingly cute interior they had to offer.
I ordered a small portion of seafood fettuchini with spicy sauce
(hmm.. sounds yummy, ey?). My mom ordered a mushroom cream soup
(I'm not a big fan of cream soups, but this one was made of fresh mushrooms! Not the instant-yucky-gooey-one, so I'm ok with it) and my dad ordered a T-Bone steak complete with roasted potato
(of course, manly man needs manly food, right?). The food was oh so
tasty !! And what I really like is that they use fresh ingredients for every single food that were made
(did I mention that the stalls were packed with real vegetables, meats, and such? Well, they aren't just for decoration, people ;) ) Oh, one thing for sure, the portions were HUGE (for me and my mom) and just the right portion for my hungry daddy. I was too full to even finish my pasta, eventhough it was delicious.
HOWEVER, I managed to put my extra stomach to work for dessert. hihihi.
I ordered a walnut ice cream sprinkled with tiny chocochips and sliced hazelnut. One word,
HEAVEN.
That's it, man! I went off my diet regimen. It was the best ice cream I've ever taste since my old Ben and Jerry's days. The ice cream was creamy, nutty, and surprisingly light. Oh, I think I just drooled.
BRB finding a tissue...

back.SO, while I was greedily indulging into my ice cream
(believe me, sharing is not something I want to do at that moment), my mom and dad decided to have an apple struddle. They went "Oh, this is soooo good! It's not too sweet
*munch munch*, it's a bit sour but in a good way! It reminds me of my good ol' days back in Germany!", and then my dad started to brag
(again) about his past when he was living in Germany.
Ich habe genug!! T_TAfter hours and hours of good food and random conversations, we decided to go home. We went to the cashier and I was completely shocked when I saw the damn bill. Yea, this is the only thing I don't like about this restaurant.
IT WAS DAMN PRICY! Well, It is pricy for a senior high school student like me. But that would not stop me from going there again, eventhough I have to save some of my allowance for that. You might be a little bit confused with my bad English-describing skills, and you prefer to see the real thing tru' a photo. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera.. So I didn't take any photo T_T tsk tsk, so dumb.
See? This is another excuse for me to go back to that lovely restaurant ;)
